I have had the opportunity to work twice in China. Once as a student for an internship (2010) and then as an employee of Veolia Water Technologies from the end of 2013.
My first impression, which took some time to emerge, is to understand how huge China is. Indeed, as a person coming from Europe this seemed complicated to get... I understood that when I was flying from Beijing to Hong Kong (4h flight), and calculated that if you take a plane from Paris to somewhere in 4h you are already outside of Europe... quite impressive for me :)
Well China is almost as big as Europe and its population is 3 times the European one... So don't be afraid from distance or from huge amount of people on the streets :)
In the next pages you can discover a bit of what I managed to see around here
